Sometimes shooting someone six times just isn't enough, especially when that person is the boogey man.  Michael Myers is back and so are we to discuss the sequel to the John Carpenter classic Halloween.  This episode we are discussing 1981's Halloween II.  Carpenter is out as director and in his place is in the director's chair is Rick Rosenthal.  Carpenter isn't the only person out though, stand aside Ben Tramer and welcome new would be Laurie Strode love interest Jimmy.  Well that is until he just disappears from the movie.  Coming back for more though we do have Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasance for what was to be at the time, one last showdown with Michael Myers.  Join us as we discuss Halloween II from 1981.

We are back baby and just in time for the 4th of July!  On this patriotic episode of Very Unreasonable Things our international crew of Billy, Josh, and Rhys are covering Firewalker starring the greatest living American of them all, Chuck Norris.  Mr. Norris had found early success with such movies as Lone Wolf McQuade, The Octagon, Good Guys Wear Black which he then turned into a contract with Cannon films who would go on to produce numerous Norris projects.  One of those projects was Firewalker which saw Norris and Louis Gossett Jr team together in what is supposed to be a globe trotting adventure similar to a certain famous archeologist.  So how does this movie hold up?  Join us as we discuss Firewalker.

The Barbarians-Loose Cannons pt 1

On this episode of Very Unreasonable Things Josh and Billy begin their Cannon quest.  They're going to be revisiting movies from Cannon's glory years, the 80's.  In this first entry into the Loose Cannons(cheesy I know, it's Cannon so what did you expect) block they are joined by one of Josh's friends, Rhys.  The first movie discussed?  The Barbarians from 1987, starring none other than The Barbarian Twins.  Two children kidnapped from their caravan and forced to grow up as gladiators slash bodybuilders one day escape from their captors and embark on an epic quest.  Is this would be Conan killer the next step in fantasy cinema or was it just another misstep in Cannon's history?  Join us as we discuss The Barbarians and try to decide of Kadar was really that bad of a guy.

Creature From the Black Lagoon

Billy and Daniel are re-visiting the creature feature on this episode of Very Unreasonable Things.  Instead of giant bugs they will be taking on the gill-man, the amphibious monster from the 1954 classic "Creature From the Black Lagoon".  The story involves rock star scientist discovering a fossil of an undiscovered lifeform and following the trail of breadcrumbs that lead them to the Black Lagoon (insert your own ominous music here).  As tensions rise amongst the group about scientific responsibilities or the opportunity for a cash grab the gill-man becomes enamored with Kay Lawrence.  What does Taco Bell have to do with all of this?  You'll have to listen to find out.  Join us as we discuss "Creature From the Black Lagoon" from 1954.

The Toxic Avenger

Do you like b-movies?  Do you like superheros?  Do you like gore?  Do you like toxic waste?  But most importantly do you like Troma?  If so then you are in luck because we are talking about The Toxic Avenger.  The heart warming story of Melvin.  Resident of the upstanding town of Tromaville and custodian at the Troma Health Club.  Melvin is a weakling, nerd, and sometimes a gawker but underneath all of that he is a superhero.  It just takes a little bit of a toxic waste bath to unleash Melvin's inner hero.  Nothing can stop the newly formed "Toxic Avenger's" need to fight crime and kill bad guys in the most graphic way possible.  Come join us as we talk about this cult classic that teaches us not all radioactive material is bad and sometimes it can give us superpowers and a suave new voice.
