1974 saw the release of one of the most influential horror movies of all time, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The landmark film follows a group of friends on a road trip who happen to come upon a family of cannibals. The film marks the emergence of Tobe Hooper as a force in the horror genre and the debut of an icon in Leatherface. The first film in our little slasher project, we discuss this classic and discuss whether the film holds up or has it began to show it's age and the limitations placed on the film makers at the time.
